SYNCLINE WINE CELLARS Who We Are: Syncline Wine Cellars is located along the Columbia River in southern Washington State. Our location, in the eastern Columbia River Gorge gives us a unique place for growing wine grapes. Our estate vineyard, Steep Creek Ranch, is located on a southern slope on the very eastern edge of the new Columbia Gorge AVA.
Directly west of the vineyard and winery is a series of 300-foot cliffs
rising up into the surrounding mountains straight out of the Columbia River. Locally known as the “Coyote Wall Syncline” and to geologists as the “BingenSyncline,”
this dramatic feature gives the winery its name. It is at this point
that the rainy western Columbia Gorge transitions to the semi-arid
eastern Gorge. To that end, we’ve developed partnerships with some of Washington State’s most knowledgeable and talented growers, managing some of the best vineyards in the Columbia Valley. All our growers, while masters at their craft, work closely with us to make sure that we have a common goal: to craft the best possible wine with the least intervention. In each vineyard we have specific rows and/or acres; we know exactly how our fruit is maturing and are able to monitor the flavor development so we know just when to make the final ‘harvest’ call. Wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Table Wine. • Wine Tasting • Wine Tour • Wine Shop • Wine Club Red Mountain TERRA BLANCA 34715 N. DeMoss Rd. Red Mountain has emerged as one of the premier red grape producing regions in Washington state. The area's high carbonate and mineral soils, warmer micro-climate, and day to night temperature variations of 30 to 40 degrees result in vinifera grapes displaying concentrated fruit, balance and structure.
